CREATING A LIGHT SHOW -
FROM CONCEPT TO FINISHED TIME CODE

September 20, 2022 12.00 - 18.00
Conference hall "D2", entrance D, pavilion 1, 3rd floor

There is an opinion that a spectacular concert show is all about large-scale sets, mountains of lighting equipment, kinetics, and special effects. This gives dizzying possibilities for visual support of the music, but does not guarantee the artistic value.

At our workshop we will prove that it is possible to enhance the perception of music with minimal means and every light artist can do it.

Workshop by David Misakian

The workshop will be of interest to everyone who wants to look into the creation of a light show and is related to or interested in light technology in the show industry: light artists, directors, eventers, videographers, distributors.

Participation in the workshop is free, registration to the show is required.

Five hours of intense "real time" work.

Curator: David Misakian, popular concert lighting designer of many major concerts and tours.

Step-by-step instructions for creating a light show, from parsing a piece of music to creating a timecode show in the visualizer.

Free communication, discussion of artistic techniques, philosophy, answering questions, sharing experiences and tricks between workshop participants.
